INTERVENTION SERVICES

Behavior
Assessments

Conduct comprehensive Behavior Assessments. We observe and collect data across different environments to provide a clear picture of a child's strengths and weaknesses to enable a comprehensive and individualised Behavior Intervention Plan to be created. Specific observation areas are determined on an individual basis. Example areas include communication, conversational skills, social development, play skills, life skills and school readiness skills.

Intervention Plans

Create and implement individualised Behaviour Intervention Plans. Following a Behavior Assessment, a bespoke behavior program is designed by our BCBAs. Each plan includes suggested hours for behavior goals to target identified skill deficits and increase independence, parent training and school support. With input from parents, caregivers and schools, each Behavior Intervention Plan is designed to encourage a cohesive, teamwork-based approach.

1:1 Behavior
Intervention

1:1 Behavior Intervention Services for children in school and in homes. Intuition provides individualised Applied Behavioral Analysis support to children in their home or school setting. Our qualified and experienced staff implement and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans, collect data, analyse progress and continually update targets to ensure goals are achieved as best as possible.

Out of Hours Services
After School & Home Setting

Learning doesn't stop when the school day is over: Intuition provides flexible behavior services outside of the typical working day, for example: assistance with bedtime routines and sleep challenges; pre or post-school sessions to work on independence in dressing, eating and other daily-living skills; support during after-school clubs or other extra-curricular activities; and weekend sessions and support at social activities. Intuition’s goal is to enable children to access as many opportunities as possible, both in school, at home and within their community, to help them achieve their full potential and live their optimal life.

Training & Upskilling

Training & Upskilling: A primary focus for Intuition is to encourage and provide ongoing, up-to-date professional development, and mentoring to Bermudians working with children and young people across the island.

Workshops & Training

Workshops & Training: We provide regular, targeted training and workshops to schools and other educational organisations. These sessions are tailored to cater for organisations' specific client base and staff and include direct delivery of presentations, interactive activities and take-home resources.

BCBA Supervision

Parent Training

Board Certified Behavior Analysis Supervision: Our BCBAs are qualified to deliver supervision to individuals working towards their BCBA designation. Parents and caregivers are at the core of a child's development: Intuition provides guidance, support and training to ensure a consistent approach in caring for your child. We offer unique parent training tailored to meet the needs of your child and family to maximise the effectiveness of our therapy.

HEALTH INSURANCE

Behavior Therapy is covered under some health insurance policies in Bermuda. Check your policy for:
* the number of sessions covered
* the amount covered per session
* when your policy year renews
* what documentation is required for approval

Intuition will take care of processing all insurance claims for those who are approved. For those who have overseas coverage, Intuition requests that you pay in full and claim back on your insurance separately.
